Kokkuvõte

Interreg Euroopa programmist rahastatud projekti GOCORE eesmärk on suurendada Euroopa maapiirkondade/äärealade kogukondade suutlikkust osaleda piirkondliku arengu kavandamises ja elluviimises. Projekt aitab esile tõsta kogukondliku tegevuse olulisust ja mõju piirkondade elujõulisuse säilimisele ning esilekerkivate probleemide lahendamisele, olles suunatud strateegia- ja arengudokumentide parendamisele, et need vastaksid võimalikult hästi vajadustele.

Interreg Euroopa projektide põhitegevused on üksteiselt õppimine, heade praktikate levitamine ja kasulike lahenduste rakendamine oma piirkonnas. GOCORE´i projekti käigus hindavad partnerid vastastikku üksteise tegevust ja annavad nõu, mida ja kuidas kogukondade elujõulisuse tagamiseks paremini teha. Saaremaa vallavalitsus keskendub projekti käigus sellele, kuidas soodustada kogukondlikkust ja toetada kogukondade elujõulisust nii Kuressaare linnas kui ka Saaremaa maapiirkondades. Samuti uuendatakse Saaremaa valla kogukondliku tegevuse arengukava.

Summary

The Governing Community Resilience (GOCORE) project builds resilient regions by increasing local engagement and participation. The project aims to enhance the development of territories in rural and/or peripheral regions by engaging and empowering communities (citizens, civil society, small businesses, among others) as active partners in regional policy development and implementation, through the exchange and implementation of governance practices.

GOCORE brings effective mechanisms for community engagement and empowerment in regional policy and decision making by involving, empowering and demonstrating to regions how to address today's important societal challenges such as climate and digital transitions, and socio-demographic developments such as ageing, depopulation and migration. GOCORE project is co-funded by the Interreg Europe programme under the priority "better regional governance", with the main objective of reducing disparities in development, growth and quality of life within and between regions in Europe.

GOCORE partnership integrates seven partners from Fryslân (NL), Syddjurs (DK), Madeira (PT), Saaremaa (EE), Coimbra (PT), Hajdú-Bihar (HU) and Trento (IT).
